Wednesday was largely a
ferry day to get in position for Thursday's
upslope play in CO/WY. We began the day in Lubbock; thereafter had Chick-
fil-a in Amarillo; stopped by
Capulin Volcano in NM; witnessed two bears on the
Raton Pass in CO; and bed down for the night in Pueblo, CO. Despite this being a travel day, we did intercept some severe storms near
Capulin, which provided a nice treat for the group. In fact, we got to watch severe storms to our immediate south traverse the beautiful northeast NM highlands -- one storm put down a hail streak, which made the mountains near
Dorsey Mansion appear frosted. Overall, a picturesque and rewarding day.
